A federally funded non-profit organization that conducts two free online programs for people with disabilities across Canada. The first program is the Internet Business Development for Entrepreneurs with Disabilities and the second is a Business Abilities Program.

Offers a full range of services, from disability management and assertiveness training to skills gap training and job placement. They will assist you to discover your goals - and help you develop the confidence to pursue them. They will also work with employers to help create positive work experiences.     Vancouver Island Vocational and Rehabilitation Services (VIVRS)

Provides various services to clients from focusing on exploration of goals to preparing you for volunteering, training and employment. They provide ongoing support that is tailored to your specific needs. VIVRS has a part-time office at the Career Centre.

 
    The BC Coalition of People with Disabilities

A provincial, cross-disability advocacy organization.  Their mandate is to raise public and political awareness of issues that concern them. They hope, through their work, to facilitate the full participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of society and to promote independence.

 
    Island Deaf & Hard of Hearing Centre (IDHHC)

 IDHHC is the only specialized social service agency on Vancouver Island, British Columbia providing counselling and support services to people dealing with a hearing loss.

 
    Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB)

CNIB is a nationwide, community-based, registered charity committed to research, public education and vision health for all Canadians. CNIB provides the services and support necessary for people to enjoy a good quality of life while living with vision loss.

 
    Forward House
For adults in District 69 who have serious and persistent mental health issues and may also have concurrent substance abuse issues. Forward House offers varied and meaningful opportunities to develop social support and enhance independent life skills within the partnership model.
