Local Self Employment Services

		Community Futures Community Futures Central Island has been the leading resource for the region’s small businesses for more than 30 years. With their assistance, more than 2,200 local businesses have started, grown, and diversified. This success has been achieved by providing access to small business loans, one-on-one counseling, and assistance with business plan development.

		Business Works If you are unemployed and interested in starting a business, you may be eligible to receive training, support, and financial assistance. We will teach you how to write a business plan and coach you through using that business plan to set reachable goals and to acquire further financing, if necessary. You will also benefit from the expertise of a business coach and the experience of a successful business member of the community as a mentor.

		Amber Education Ltd. Amber Education Services Ltd. provide assistance for training costs if lack of training is identified as a barrier to employment. They also provide business plan consulting services.
