The Resource Room provides services to all unemployed and underemployed residents of District 69. We are a one-stop shop for your job search and career exploration needs. Our resource library is filled with a wide range of Labour Market Information (LMI), which includes occupational outlooks, career trends, resume and educational information.
As well, our Resource Room has multimedia computers with Internet access for your job search. Individuals who have some knowledge of word processing programs can prepare a resume or cover letter. We also offer orientation workshops in word processing and the Internet.
Specifically we provide:
- Assistance with career, labour market and educational research
- Assistance with finding resources in the library (books, magazines, newspapers)
- Resume and cover letter advising
- 16 computers and a laser printer
- Access to the Internet
- Photocopying and Fax services
- Access to telephone for job searching
- Multimedia centre (TV/VCR with audio/visual tapes)
