Since May 2008, CVIJOBS has been subcontracted to deliver the
BC Employment Program (BCEP) to residents of Oceanside who are receiving Income Assistance and are expected to be searching for work. The program delivers individual and group services through the provision of life skills counselling and workshops, employment services and short-term certificate training. Individual financial supports such as gas vouchers, bus tickets, grocery cards, clothing and tools for work are meant to enhance a client's ability to secure sustainable employment. BCEP clients are benefitting from the full time services and resources available to them through Career Centre resource room and staff.

In June 2009, successful funding was obtained for InnovatES, a pilot project to support individuals, who are working in the technology sector, gain essential skills to maintain and develop employment opportunities. The project is a partnership between Vancouver Island University (VIU), CVIJOBS & Mid-Island Science and Technology Council (MISTIC). InnovatES is offered free of charge to employees of eligible businesses thanks to the financial support of the BC government through the Ministry of Advance Education and Labour Market Development under the Canada – British Columbia Labour Market Agreement.
