Enjoy number crunching? An employment consultant at The Career Centre recently attended a presentation of the Certified General Accountants Association. The presenter indicated there will be an upcoming shortage of accountants and the future outlook in this field is good. This article posted last year in the Vancouver Sun also indicates that the future is bright for chartered accountants in BC. 

“With the qualification that they’re prepared to work hard, there’s huge opportunities, both locally and internationally,” said Richard Rees, CEO of the Chartered Accountants of B.C., in an interview. “Whether it’s in education, not-for-profits, government or the private sector, there are significant opportunities.”
