Do you anticipate hiring in the next 6 months? If so, for what types of positions?

Yes! Mostly Customer Service Representative positions in both our Energy and Liquor divisions. A few Customer Service Supervisor positions on the liquor side are available or will be coming up as well.

Tell us about your business/organization and what makes you stand out as an employer?

A family-owned propane dealer since 1993, Ready Propane provides bulk propane delivery, cylinder sales and rentals, and cylinder re-qualification services to its many residential and commercial customers.

We currently operate throughout the mid-Vancouver Island region. From Cassidy to Nanaimo, Lantzville to Courtenay, and west to Port Alberni. Administrative functions and daily delivery operations originate from our main yard located in Parksville.

What do you look for in a new employee?

Firstly, we look for individuals who will be a good fit within our small team.  As a representative of our company, employees must be professional, yet personable. A willingness to learn new skills, to work indoors or out, and handle a fast-paced work environment are also standout qualities we look for. In addition, any new employee must love living on the island and have a well-rounded life outside of work. We believe this is important for an employees’ physical and mental well-being.

What advice would you give someone who wants to work for your organization?

We would recommend any person interested in working for our organization learn as much as you can about propane, our company, and what sets us apart from our competition.  Additionally, we value a lifelong learner, great work ethic, and a desire to grow with the company.

Do you anticipate hiring in the next 6 months? If so, for what types of positions?
