The Self Employment Program can assist eligible individuals to acquire the skills they need to create and maintain full time self-employment. The initiative provides business coaching, support and financial assistance to help cover living expenses while the individual grows his or her business.
The City of Parksville has a workforce of approximately 75 employees. The City hires people in a range of positions including: labourers, equipment operators, facility and grounds workers, secretaries, planning and engineering staff, and a variety of administrative positions.
Sources Oceanside are a team of professionals dedicated to helping children, youth and families in the communities they serve.
Their services are offered at no cost and can be accessed through self-referral as well as by referral from government and community agencies. They have a well established Child Development Centre and provide a wide range of Mental Health and Social Services.

IDHHC is the only specialized social service agency on Vancouver Island, British Columbia providing counselling and support services to people dealing with a hearing loss. The Parksville Downtown Business Association is a volunteer-based non-profit society dedicated to the enhancement and promotion of Parksville’s downtown core, and to supporting the more than 200 shops and services situated there.
Parksville Qualicum Beach Tourism Association is the destination marketing organization (also known as a convention and visitors bureau) for the Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Nanoose Bay, French Creek, Lighthouse Country, and Arrowsmith Coombs Country region of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
